Linda Dee Millstead age 73 of Riverside, MO passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at NorthCare Hospice and Palliative Care. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Calvary Baptist Church 900 NW 22nd St., Blue Springs, MO 64015. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the church. Donations may be made in her name to the Calvary Baptist Church or to NorthCare Hospice and Palliative Care.
Linda was born May 28, 1938 in Litchfield, Il to Cyril James and Dorathy Maude (Tilley) Hanrahan. She moved to Warrensburg, MO at and early age and attended Warrensburg High School. She worked as a secretary for United Missouri Bank for a number of years before she retired. She enjoyed quilting, collecting porcelain dolls, camping and spending time with her family especially around the holidays. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she played the organ and the piano and taught Sunday school. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, James F. Millstead of the home; their children, Vickie Ellen Millstead of Buckner, MO, Pamela Sue Mirner and husband Kevin of Fort Myers, FL, Martha Lynn Lewis and husband John Mark of Warrensburg, MO, Lisa Ann Spence and husband Dennis of Demopolis, AL and Michael Millstead and wife Donna of Independence, MO; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; her close friend Nancy Simons and aunt Alice Hanrahan.
