Larry A. Stapleton, 65, of Buckner,MO

passed away Sunday, December8, 2013

at Centerpoint Medical Center.

Funeral services for Larry were held on

Friday, December 13, 2013 at Meyers

Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue

Springs, MO, with visitation two hours

prior to the service at the chapel. Burial

was in Buckner Cemetery. Memories and

Larry was born September 12, 1948 in

Buckner, MO to William and Mildred

(Harra) Stapleton. He was a US Army

veteran of the Vietnam War. On June 6,

1970 he was united in marriage to Kathy

Burns and she survives of the home. Larry

was a construction worker and for many

years was a Councilman in Buckner. He

belonged to the VFW in Buckner. Larry

enjoyed hunting, Fishing, and spending

time with his family. He was preceded in

death by his parents; son, Jamie William

Stapleton; in-laws, Carl and Vera Burns.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is

survived by his son, Jody Reed Stapleton

of Buckner, MO; brother, John William

Stapleton and wife Debbie of Odessa, MO;

sisters, Barbara Jo Nelson of Rayville,

MO, Carol J. Denney and husband Bob of

Blue Springs, MO; brother-in-law, Duane

Burns and wife Sarah of Independence

MO; sister-in-law, Carol Cary and

husband Merv of Independence, MO
