Everett Henry “Huck” Cable, age 63, of Stover, formerly of Buckner, passed away,
Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He was born March 29, 1950, in Versailles, the son of William Henry and Mary
Simmons Cable, who survive in Stover.
Everett was a graduate of Fort Osage High School in Buckner. He formerly
worked for Tyson Foods.
Everett enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and hunting. However, his greatest
enjoyment was fishing, which he would do every time he had the opportunity.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, James Everett Cable of
South Carolina; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie and Wayne Dowell of
Greenwood; Patty and Gary Smith of Warrensburg and Jackie and Donald Cochran
of Chandler, Arizona; two grandchildren, Cade and Aleai Cable, along with several
nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were held. Monday, February 3, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral
Home in Stover with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating. Interment was in the Stover
Cemetery.
The family received visitors on Sunday, February 2, at the Scrivner-Morrow
Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover Food
