Katherine Baldus, 92, of Buckner, MO, passed away Sunday, March 17th 2013. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20th at Speaks Buckner Chapel; 300 Adams, Buckner, MO. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21st at the chapel. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Buckner, MO.

Katherine was born September 16th 1920 in Jackson County, MO to Delbert J. and Elizabeth (Harra) Campbell. She graduated from Buckner Memorial H.S. in 1938. She later married Thomas Baldus and together they raised three children. Katherine worked for many years selling cemetery monuments for Johnson and Sons. She regularly attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene as well as Oakland United Methodist Church. She especially loved her family, gardening and making many quilts. She supported Children’s Mercy Hospital with an array of crafted gifts. Katherine is loved and will be missed.

She is survived by sons, Farol T. Baldus (Sandra) and Wayne J. Baldus (Barbara) all of Buckner, MO; daughter, Kathy Yokley (formerly Coatney) of Nevada, MO; grandchildren, Donna Thorpe; Don, Thomas, Ron, and David Baldus; Kyle and Eric Coatney; Krystal Williams; and Doug Yokley; great grandchildren, Ryan Thorpe, Lindsey Weikel; Kara, Thomas, Kelsie, Carlie, Samantha, Michael, and Matthew Baldus; Heather Snyder, Holly Turner, Cassie and Katie Baldus; Joshua and Lanissa Walker; Jessica Crouse; Chase and Hunter Coatney; Kairyn Williams; Isabella and Addelyn Yokley; great great grandchildren, Ryan and Noah Thorpe; Gabriel and Jaidyn Baldus; Chaz, Kellen and Rylee Crouse; Hailey and James Ray Snyder. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Kenneth and D.J. Campbell, and granddaughter, Shonna (Baldus) Burrus.
