William R. “Bill” Elley, age 67 of Buckner, MO passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at his residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel with visitation to follow. Donations may be made in his name to Vitas Hospice or to the Keith Worthington Chapter of the ALS Society. Bill was born January 15, 1945 in Sedalia, MO to Russell William and Ozetta (Williams) Elley. He graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City, KS and later from the University of Kansas with a pharmacy degree. He owned and operated Elley’s Pharmacy in Buckner for 27 years until he retired in 2008. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by; his loving wife, Bridgett of the home; 3 sons, Chris Elley and his wife Angie and Bret Elley and his wife Alison all of Kansas City, MO and Ryan Elley and his wife Jaime of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Donna Bosley of Tonganoxie, KS; his mother, Ozetta Elley of Kansas City, KS and 7 grandchildren, Ty, Austin, Meghan, Andi, Luke, Claire and Will.
